From A Little School Near The Prairie, to A Little School In...... Hampden

Since the main purpose of this blog was to allow my far-flung friends and families to follow my journey to Nebraska and South Dakota, I've decided it is time to hang up my hat on this blog.  This chapter of  my blogging life is over.  Before I leave here is a final entry, on my time in the Midwest.

It is certainly accurate to say I never expected myself to be back here, writing this blog entry so soon.  I entered Magis expecting it to be a two year program.  I entered it whole heartedly, ready to give my heart to a new place, and put my best effort into living and teaching there everyday.  I went there knowing that it would be hard, but also with an openness to following God's plan for my life as He led me west.  While I ended up leaving early, and am happy to be back with my family, there were also many aspects of the last year that I loved, and that I miss.  There were many lessons learned, and friends made.  In short, I am happy for the year I was given out in the Midwest.  Most importantly I am happy that it allowed me to realize that I am in the right place now, that I am meant to be working with kids in a different capacity.  While I truly did love the Midwest, and the people of Rapid, now that I'm back in MA I have the opportunity to wake up each day, and go to a job that I also love.  This is where I'm meant to be right now.


So I'm signing off from blog life here at the Little School Near the Prairie, it's time for me to enjoy my job over at that little school in Hampden instead.
